Introduction to Traditional Batik. We will discover the wonders of Batik in a step by step process of alternately waxing and dying fabric until a desired result is achieved. To begin, we will plan a logical sequence of dyes baths, keeping in mind color compatibility. As the dyeing progresses the Batik will move from light to dark . The final step, ironing the wax out of the Batik, is always an exciting moment. Beginners luck is common! All materials will be supplied including a base drawing.
